AC EV Charging Gun Cable Quality Inspection Checklist
Use a model-specific inspection checklist for AC charging gun cables. The inspection should connect incoming materials, assembly, electrical checks, appearance, markings and shipment records to the approved sample.
Incoming materials
- Connector body, terminals, cable, jacket and strain-relief parts
- Approved supplier, lot and material identification
- Dimensions, color, markings and visible damage
Assembly and termination
- Connector direction and pin or terminal arrangement
- Crimp, screw, weld or open-wire termination against the drawing
- Sealing, latch, lock, strain relief and cable routing
Electrical and functional checks
Use the approved model test plan to check continuity, insulation or withstand requirements, pilot and proximity behavior where applicable, and representative charging operation. Do not publish a test value as universal unless it belongs to the exact model and revision.
