Create one row per adapter model and record charger side, vehicle side, charging mode, electrical limits, tested combinations and document status. A connector name alone is not compatibility evidence. Keep unverified cells marked “To be confirmed,” request model-specific samples, and approve stock only after key combinations have been checked.
Build the matrix around five buyer questions
1. What is the exact charging path?
Write charger → adapter → vehicle and identify CCS1, CCS2, NACS, Type 2, GB/T or CHAdeMO. Request a drawing and model/revision number.
2. Is the product AC, DC or both?
Separate AC and DC rows. Request rated voltage/current and operating limits for the exact revision.
3. Which combinations are evidenced?
Verify insertion, lock/latch, charge start/stop and fault behavior with representative equipment. Physical fit alone is insufficient.
4. Which documents can installers use?
Request datasheet, dimensions, instructions, labels and applicable compliance files tied to the complete model.
5. What remains commercially open?
