EV Adapter Accessory Kit Checklist for Distributors
An adapter order is not complete until the buyer and supplier agree on the exact included items. Tie every accessory list to a model code and revision, then verify product photos, labels, storage items, instructions and packaging before approval. 1. Why accessory ambiguity creates avoidable cost
Sales images may show a cap, lock, case or cable that is not included in every version. If the quotation says only “one adapter,” purchasing, warehouse and e-commerce teams may each expect a different set. The result can be delayed listings, partial dispatches or customer complaints.
Use separate fields for included, optional and not applicable. Never infer the packing set from a related connector direction.
2. Create one kit record per model

3. Keep marketing images aligned with the shipment
Approve one main image showing the exact product and one “what is included” image. Place optional items in a separately labeled image. When the kit changes, update the listing, packing record and sales sheet together.
This is especially important for a broad assortment covering NACS, CCS1, CCS2, GB/T, CHAdeMO, Type 2 and J1772 directions. Model variety helps distributors build adjacent SKUs through one supplier conversation; disciplined kit records keep that breadth manageable.
4. Add a pre-dispatch confirmation gate
Before dispatch, compare the purchase order, approved kit record, packing photos and carton labels. Escalate any substitution instead of silently treating it as equivalent. Save the confirmation with the model revision so repeat orders start from a controlled reference.
For an RFQ, send the connector direction, target market, quantity tier, branding requirement and desired accessory set. Ask the supplier to return included, optional and unresolved items separately.
